Our Story

Haines Electrical Service is an Australian owned and operated family business, first started in 1984, with Ian Haines providing the trade service and Denise Haines performing the administration and accounts.

The business primarily performed industrial service work at that time which was due to Ian’s excellent skillset in that area. Overtime, Ian and Denise grew the business through a combination of hard work, quality workmanship and reliability.

By the year 2000, the business had a great team of trade staff and apprentices and was working in commercial, residential, industrial and construction sectors. In 2007, as part of succession planning, Ian and Denise’s son Ben took on the role of Qualified Technical Person (QTP) and Managing Director.

Ben’s focus since that time has been to capitalise on the excellent foundation set by Ian and Denise and to further improve and grow the business. This growth has been achieved through the implementation of robust operational systems, a commitment to safety and quality and the development of solid customer relationships.

The Haines Electrical Service slogan “We’re on our way!” was chosen because in addition to the obvious implication of responding quickly to our client’s needs, it also meshes with our company’s drive for continual improvement and to continue to grow our reputation as a leading electrical contractor in the construction and commercial sectors.

Haines Electrical Service has worked hard to develop an internal culture of workplace safety which permeates our entire organisation. Our excellent workplace injuries / incidents record is testament to the effectiveness of this culture.

Haines Electrical Service is an accredited member of the ME Safety Program. Elements of our comprehensive safety program include:
